THE OMEN (1976)

The Omen tells the story of Damien Thorn, who lives with his family in Fulham, England. Damien was swapped at birth with another child who was still born, but they kept the secret from his mother to avoid any upset. Unbeknown to his family though Damien is the child of Satan, and is fated to become the next anti Christ.

Damiens first nanny hangs herself on his fifth birthday, and numerous other people who are connected to him die in tragic accidents. His father Robert, comes to realize that all is not as it seems where his son is concerned, and confides in his photographer friend Keith Jennings. Damien finds out that his mother is pregnant and he causes her to fall and lose her unborn child. Robert and Keith return to Rome, where the babies were swapped, in search of Damiens real mother, however when they get there they find the hospital has burnt to the ground. They find out that his mother was killed and search out her grave, where they discover she was a Jackal and indeed proves that Damien is destined to become the next Anti Christ.

While Robert and Keith are searching for answers to Damiens future, Damien possess his new nanny, Mrs. Baylock, and in turn she throws Damiens mother out of a hospital window and kills her.

Robert finds out that to stop Damien he must kill him with the seven daggers of maggido. Returning to England, Robert finds the "666" birthmark on Damiens head confirming his suspicions all along.

Mrs. Baylock, who is trying to protect Damien, attacks Robert violently, until he manages to stop her by stabbing her in the neck with a screwdriver. Robert bundles Damien into his car to take him to the church so he can sacrifice him on the alter, this however alters the authorities and they give chase. On the alter Robert is just about to kill Damien, when the police arrive and shoot and kill Robert. The last scene of the film is when you see Damien holding the hand of the President, he turns around and gives a wry smile...
